how do you get a child's toothache to stop hurting at night?

Child's toothache: Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Motrin dosed for your child's weight can be helpful for moderate to severe pain/ toothache that comes from erupting teeth. Topical gel local anesthetics can be helpful. 
Depending on the child's age, and if there is facial swelling, you may need to have your child gently floss adjacent to the affected tooth, rinse out their mouth with warm water, and apply a cool compress. Also see dentist.

Slow down: Very often when we start to slow down at night our aches and pains become obvious. You probably have a tooth problem that needs dental care. Get it checked out before it become serious.

See your dentist: Dentists specialize in treating facial issues.  See your dentist and have them evaluate you for bruxism, an abscessed tooth, trigeminal neuralgia, or TMJ.  Your symptoms could be a wide range of issues.  Your dentist should be able to help you figure out what is wrong or can point you in the direction of a specialist who can.  Best of luck :)

Something's wrong: There may be a cracked tooth, there may be a loose filling, you may be grinding your teeth. Hard to say without an examination. You might need a second opinion from another local dentist if your current dentist cannot locate the cause of your pain.

Yes: There are conditions that do not show on x-ray but show on mri. Are you seeing a chiropractor for this?  I do not recommend this go see a primary care doctor.

Get evaluated: This may or may not be related to the malpractice. I would start with an ENT doctor to get fully evaluated. I would then see an oral surgeon and an endodontist to cover all the basis. Would be very interested in the finding so keep in touch via health tap.

Let them know that you are pregnant and they will use all the appropriate precautions. Leaving an infected tooth/decayed molar untreated can result in the infection reaching your blood and causing problems for your baby. It is important to maintain good oral health during pregnancy

Root canal: Oftentimes this is the result of an infection in the tooth. Sleep on 2-3 pillows to raise your head until you have a chance to visit a root canal doc ( endodontist) to have it evaluated.
