Oral Surgeon: Get to the Oral Surgeon to properly diagnose the problem and initiate proper treatment. If you have an oral-antral fistula then it is paramount that you get there ASAP. These are serious and require expert treatment and management to resolve. Good Luck . Don't delay.

Yes: Molar tooth roots can extend into the maxillary (cheek) sinuses.  During a difficult extraction of molar teeth, the bone and mucosal lining around the tooth and sinus floor can get disrupted creating an opening between the mouth and sinus cavity.  This opening or fistula, by introducing oral cavity bacteria into the sinus, can lead to sinus disease.

No: True maxillary sinusitis is an infection of the lining of the sinus.  While upper wisdom teeth reside adjacent to that sinus, it is hoped that their removal leaves the sinus intact, in which case the removal does nothing to treat the infection.  Antibiotics generally are the treatment of choice for such in infection.

2 avenues: See Oral Surgeon to evaluate extraction site.  See ENT to evaluate sinus.  Sounds like infection, and that requires more than OTCs.

had a tooth extraction on 7/24. was 2nd upper molar on l side. still having pain 5 weeks later in eye, cheek and some pain now on the r side cheek. oral surgeon said no infection and saw ent looked in sinus said no infection. why am i still in pain?

Unknown: If Oral Surgeon and ENT say no infection, and you are now having pain bilaterally, it may be time for a consultation with a Neurologist.
