have a tooth abscess being treated for it. but ive devolved leg and foot pain the last day or so. im also tired. can this be signs of sepsis? or is it in my head. i dont have a fever my bp is normal, normal 02 levels do you have to have a fever?

: A periapical tooth abcess is sepsis but I think it's localized in your case with no relationship to leg &amp; foot pain.  More description of this pain would help us give a cause for those symptoms. See your physician as needed.

Yes: Pain can be referred, meaning it could feel like it is coming from somewhere else (like your ear) but it is really coming from your tooth.  You know the pain is referred if you treat the tooth and the earache went away.  At the same time, TMJ pain can also imitate earache.  Have your dentist perform a complete evaluation.

Advanced: once an abscess becomes acute, and extends through tissue, it becomes what we term a cellulitis.
This can often this be accompanied by fever.
If this continues, bacteria can enter the bloodstream, and/or keep spreading through tissue to vital areas like the heart or brain. Death may result in these advanced situations.
