Make sure the toddler is getting enough hydration (500-600ml daily), and use electrolyte solutions instead of water. Irritability is common. If a toddler is lethargic (not moving, difficult to wake up) it may be a sign of something more serious and you will need to get emergency care.

Sips of clear fluid: For vomiting, stop everything for at least an hour. Start with small sips (1/2 oz) of clear fluid  (pedialyte). Gradually increase if she hasn't vomited after 30 minutes. Keep her on just the pedialyte for 2-3 hours, then try a cracker or piece of dry toast. If no vomiting, add other plain foods gradually- bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, crackers, etc. If vomiting persists, see your doctor.

Not particularly : The muscles involved in coughing &amp; vomiting are similar &amp; young children often have difficulty not vomiting if they cough hard enough. I would concentrate of maintaining her fluid balance &amp; see if she gradually improves. These are often simple viruses but need to be monitored closely.

See pediatrician: This is for seizures.  You should call the prescribing physician immediately.  The baby takes this for a very good reason and should not stop the medication without discussing it with a doctor.

Wait to give fluids: Wait one to two hours after vomiting before trying to give liquids.  Also give liquids in sips instead of large volumes.  Followup with your child's doctor if child is unable to keep fluids down or showing signs of dehydration- no urine in 3 hours, dry lips, decreased tearing of eyes.

Lower GI and emesis: Please consider your toddler may have an issue with the lower GI tract. Consider there may be a partial blockage or mucus plug in the small intestine that is feeding the nausea, and vomiting. Simple ways of addressing this issue: don't force them to eat, encourage water, coconut water and diluted org. apple juice! Seek a GI doc that uses probiotic therapy and avoid milk products for now.
