Gingivitis ?: That's the first guess; periodontitis or a tooth abscess would be a second and third guess. But you want a definite answer.. for that, make an appointment with a local dentist who can examine you and advise you of your treatment options.

It depends: Though tooth eruption may cause swollwn gum, it does not cause blisters. Blisters on the gums suggest a viral infection, most common one may be human herpes simplex virus, but could be other viruses such as coxackie virus that causes "herpangina". The best thing for you to do would be to take your baby to a pediatrician.

Many causes: It need not be a strep (streptococcal) infection to cause this cluster of symptoms. A significant upper respiratory infection that effects the mouth, throat, bronchi and lungs can be caused by many different pathogens be they viral or bacterial. An md can help you find the source of infection and prescribe the correct course of treatment (if viral, antibiotics will be of no help primarily).

Not normal: See your dentist for a diagnosis and treatment of the swollen gums and blisters. It sounds like a herpes infection (herpetic gingivostomatitis), but you need to have a visual exam and supply a medical history to make an accurate diagnosis.
See your medical doctor or an ENT specialist for the tonsillitis, which may or may not be related to the mouth infection.

Sounds like: a VIRAL infection which is also called"foot and mouth Disease...common in summer months ..this does NOT sound like a Vitamin deficiency!

my 2 year old has blisters on his tongue and lips and swollen gums. it's been a week and he's still not eating much. any advice?

Suspected  Coxsackie: This virus is associated with the blisters you have described which are very painful.  Eating solid foods is uncomfortable, so I would make sure he is drinking plenty of fluids.  The blisters resolve in 3-10 days depending on severity.  Other symptoms include high fever up to 5 days, non-painful blisters on palms/soles, and diarrhea.  Ibuprofen can help relieve the pain and fever.

Virus or yeast: Either she has oral thrush which is simply a yeast infection , or likely with  presence of a fever it is most likely be an oral primary herpetic gingivostomatitis (oral herpes virus).  This is very common. .  Often it is subclinical. It should run its course in a few days.  An oral thrush is treated with topical nystatin.  Whereas the oral herpes can be aided by the aciclovir if is  given early.
