It's important to see your doctor if you see a tick or suspect a tick bite because they can carry lyme disease which can have long-term debilitating consequences. Treatment with Doxycycline can help prevent lyme disease. Other bugs that leave a tiny circle are spider, bed bugs, fleas, fire ants, chiggers.

Any: There is no way to tell which bug bite causes a certain coloration on the skin since the coloration is more an individual response than from the bite itself.  The coloration also varies with time.  There are however certain bites which may produce a characteristic rash on people (the target like lesion with ticks carrying lyme disease, the bruised &amp; pusey lesion from some spider bites etc)

You have looked for all the concerns  that would signal an infection, like surrounding redness or swelling.  It appears that this is healing well and it may take some time for the small red dots to completely resolve.

Scalp: The bumps in your scalp may be insect bites or inflamed areas from mild infection. If you continue to find insects in your hair see a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. Sanitize your comb and hair brush. Wash your hair with a mild soap only. Apply warm applications to the tender scalp bumps and see your physician if they persist or worsen or if signs of scalp inflammation spread.

Dermatologist: This sounds like a benign lesion like a dermatofibroma or inclusion cyst but have it checked.  A dermatologist could diagnose it for you if your pcp can't.

Bug=no: This sounds more like a reaction to soap or shampoo  aggravated by the heat of the shower water. "Bugs"-germs do not trigger recurrent breakouts with bathing over a year. If it disappears after a brief period I would either ignore it or try other products.
