i have red dots on my skin after some bad sun burn but they don't look bad, i've never been in a tanning bed, could they be dangerous?

No, not dangerous: Red dots that appear in the exposed area after a severe sunburn are not dangerous, and if they represent capillary damage they will fade in a week or so (depending on the degree of injury). If they last longer they could be cherry angiomas, another benign condition.

hi i went tanning in a bed a couple times and i have multiple tiny red dots underneath my skin on my stomach what is this? it doesn't itch or hurt.

Picture needed.: These small red dots you speak of need to be seen for further clarification. If brand new, could mean low platelets.  Virtual consult or seeing your own doc is advised.

Sorry to hear: you overdid it at the tanning salon.As you know, this increases your risk for future skin cancer. Very likely the "burn" caused some inflammation in your skin; if bacteria from skin contact with surface should be red. It sounds like it is very mild as there is no redness or itching. Put some OTC cortisone cream on the bumps; they should resolve in a few days. Please reconsider/avoid tanning beds:)

Red bumps: The red bumps may be hives brought on by the tanning bed. Take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for your itching and consult your doctor for more help.

used semi-protective eyewear. went in a low wattage tanning bed twice recently and eyes have been hurting. no redness or sight issues. will it heal?

It should: You may have exposed the sclera (white) of the eye are worse the retina to excess UV light causing a "sun burn". It should recover but avoid this type of exposure., If you must use a tanning bed use the best protective eyewear available

: Likely herpes, either herpes simplex virus if you have had past genital or anal area herpes (maybe without prior symptoms); or herpes zoster (shingles). Either can be triggered or made worse by UV light. See a doctor ASAP, diagnosis, testing, and possible treatment. The sooner the better for most accurate diagnosis and most effective treatment. Don't pop bumps or otherwise or otherwise mess w/ it.

can hsv2 be transmitted through a tanning bed? i keep seeing articles saying it is possible and others that say its only possible through skin to skin contact. whats true and whats not?

: Any source that says tanning beds or any other nonsexual contact can transmit HSV2 is either lying or embarrassingly naive. Nobody catches HSV2 without having sex with an infected partner. See the reply to your other question:  your partner has HSV2 and needs a blood test to document it. Good luck.

Tanning bed burns: Causes of tanning bed burns include: taking medicates that make you sun sensitive, a genetic makeup that makes you sun sensitive, skin diseases like lupus that make you sun sensitive, too long of a treatment in the tanning bed.  Use of tanning beds increases the incidence of melanoma, a form of skin cancer, by 74 times.

Probably: If the pane you are resting on isn't cleaned in between persons then you could get a fungal infection. It is similar to the fungal infection you can get walking barefoot in a gym locker room
