i have the kyleena iud and i have been having a lot of cramping and lower back pain, painful sex for the last few weeks i had an ultrasound and it shows fluid all around the iud but all swabs negative for infection what can cause this?

See below: The thing that i tell my patients when i ask them this is to try to find a position or positions that you both like and do not cause pain. Sex should feel fantastic, not painful. I will not go into graphic detail but there are many more positions available for you. There are even books on the subject!

today i received some urine test results and it said that i have blood in the urine. is this something bad? i have back pain and sometimes a small pain behind the testes. i'm 39 years old?

: There are many things that could give an indication of blood in the urine, such as a urinary tract infection, kidney stone, or a problem with the kidneys or bladder. Often the rest of the results will indicate why the blood is present. You should talk to the Doctor Who ordered the urinalysis to see what work up is needed. Good luck.

See answer: In the absence of noticeable increased urinary frequency, urgency, burning, bladder pressure, a UTI is much less likely. Sediment in urine often related to the ph of urine, whereas  the presence of wbcs in the voided urine of a female more often representative of vaginal contamination than infection.  A urine culture would rule out uti.  I suspect your lower back pain is not  urinary tract related.

Some possibilities..: If one has very uncomfortable tummy pain, and is normally in good health, plus is not pregnant, the possibilities include: appendicitis (usually R lower quadrant), diverticulitis, kidney stone (very painful), constipation (crampy), stomach flu, etc... Most people with "moderate pain," more than mild pain, may need a doctor's evaluation to be sure it's not appendicitis, which would need surgery.

Dysparunia: You need to have a pelvic ultrasound to check the position of your IUD and make sure you are not having cysts, fibroids or endometriosis.  Are you up to date with your pap smears? You need to follow up with your doctor for labs and a check up.  Good luck

See doctor ASAP: Flank pain, blood in the urine, urgency, painful urination- all could be consistent with urinary tract infection . Other condition such as kidney stone can also happen along with the urinary tract infection. You should see your md as soon as possible and have yourself checked and treated. Good luck.
