When you say the areas are "more painful," do you mean allodynia, hyperpathia, dysesthesia or hyperalgesia? (The idea is now for you to look up those terms and try to determine which 1 (or more) applies to you.)

Nerve: This could be a pinched nerve that is aggravated in certain positions. If you are not extremely bothered by it, there is no need to seek urgent care. If you see rash in the area, then I would see an M.D. as it could be shingles. The tingling with shingles though, is not usually intermittent or position dependent.

Tingling : Tingling and numbness that affects half of the body (which most people mean as including an upper limb, a lower limb, one side of the trunk, and sometimes one half of the face) can be caused by a problem in the brain or spinal cord.  A pinched nerve can not cause those sorts of problems.  Swelling of half the body is very uncommon.  Such problems should be evaluated by a primary care doctor (family practice or internal medicine) who can help determine if a specialist is needed.

May be related common connective tissue disorders.  Other conditions  can cause a painful response to cold mediated by immunoglobulin production due to inflammation (cryoglobulin / cold agglutinins). One side symptoms suggests brain. Check with a neurologist.
