Mononeuropathy: When there is tingling in one specific area of the skin, especially if there is loss of sensation in that region, this could be a sign of a problem with a specific sensory nerve.  You should see a neurologist to find out the cause.  There are many causes for mononeuropathy.

Since : Since your symptom is localized to such a small area, it is possible you have a pinched nerve. This could be from some minor damage in the accident, or from a muscle spasm that could be pinching the nerve.  It depends on where you get the sensation.  If you can do things to avoid getting the sensation, i suggest doing that.  But since this is now months later i'm a little worried why you still get the symptom.  It could be a problem in your spine that is pinching the nerve, and you may want to see a doctor about it.  If it bothers you enough, an MRI of the cervical and thoracic spine will answer the question.

Cervical vertigo: I continue to be worried when doctors don't clearly help you understand what the problem is and the doctor should take necessary time to get the problems under control.

LHERMITTE'S: If the spinal cord is irritated locally, an electrical shock like sensation may be experienced on flexion or extension.  Can be seen in MS, cervical disc disease, B-12 issues.
Consider a visit to your doctor.

Neck muscle etc: Your are to be commended for your weight-loss. I would consider muscular problems, pinched nerve in the neck. Tingling can be seen in neurologic issues, musculoskeletal issues, and can also be paresthesias. Your evaluation will include all these issues.

Cervical Radiculopat: A pinched nerve can send abnormal sensations into adjacent areas that it serves.  Local nerve compression at the root or after the nerve leaves the vertebral column can cause pain, numbness or weakness.

Pinched nerve : A pinched nerve in the lower cervical spine (neck) or upper thoracic spine can cause these symptoms.  A pinched nerve can be from a ruptured disc (unlikely at your age) a muscle spasm (likely) or a bony spur (unlikely). If tingling persists longer than 6 weeks or increases you should see a doctor to evaluate.

Pinched nerve or ...: possible muscle spasm.  This is most likely related to tightness of the muscles of the neck and might be relieved by improvement in posture, and regular range of motion exercises of the head, turning to right, to left, shrugging shoulders and hugging onself.   Sometimes dehydration or excess caffeine can also cause twitches.  If there is a problem with headaches or change in alertness, be checked.

since 4 years ago in left midback i get occasional tingling that comes and goes. it often goes away after 1 or 2 massages and may come back after months. last 2 weeks it happens on the other side of my back. my upper back is stiff from poor posture?

: While this could be an aggravated intercostal nerve, the fact that it is intermittent and goes away with massage suggest that this is likely a partial charley horse (myofascial nodule) in the latissimus dorsi muscle caused by exceeding the endurance capability of the muscle through pulling or pushing down.  Cardio/endurance exercise can usually decrease the frequency of attacks.

: You may have shingles due to recrudence of infection due to chickenpox; it may be due to nerve compression from a tumour that may be due to infection, neoplasm or bone abnormality from wear and tear of aging. You may want to be evaluated to know what may be causing it.
