Tiger Balm: Rarely, severe allergic reactions can occur at the application site. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to tiger balm include rashes, hives, itching, difficulty breathing and chest tightness. Do not use tiger balm if you have ever had an allergic reaction to products containing menthol or camphor.  Your pains will resolve if tiger balm works.

Excess irritation: These 2 products produced too much irritation for your skin. Did redness develop? Try warm soaks and let the liniments wear off. Don't put anything else on your skin until the irritation clears.

Good to exercise but: Listen to your body. It is ok to be sore in your muscles. Is not , to be sore in your joints. Adjust what or how you are doing the activity if it is making your joints sore.

Several: Depending on the severity of your symptoms, a splint if often helpful. Modifying your behavior to eliminate the repetitive movements causing it is also helpful but not always practical. Surgical correction is often done in severe cases. There is also some good osteopathic manipulation treatments that can even reduce the need for surgical correction.
