Viral syndrome: It sounds as if you've contracted a viral syndrome.  These are usually self-limiting but if your symptoms get worse, see your doctor.

Consider Papaya: Mild tickle in throat is often related to mild irritation from environmental allergens/irritants.  When pain is not severe, consider trying papaya enzyme tablets.  They are safe, natural and many of my patients relate symptomatic improvement in throat symptoms.  If pain is progressive, persistent or associated with systemic symptoms such as fever, consider seeing your health care provider.

It may: This is descriptive of post nasal drip. When in the oresence of nasal symptoms of congestion andnrunny nose, it can be due to nasal allergies. Without nasal symptoms, it can be secondary to acid reflux. A saline nasal wash may help but iltimately you may need a nasal steroid to help with the congestion. See an allergist for your best options.

Pharyngitis: Can be just viral, start salt water gargles, saline nasal washes and pain killers as needed, if no improvement in one or two days see your doctor for possible Rx medicine, good luck

Reflux?: Laryngopharyngeal reflux, or extraesophageal reflux often involves a sense of a something being caught in the throat.  There can also be some throat-clearing, hoarseness, nighttime cough, sore throat, or bad taste in the mouth.  Consider seeing an ENT for an evaluation.  In the meantime put a brick or phone book under your headboard and avoid eating for 2-3 hours before bedtime.

Could be seallergies: Your symptoms seems to be very much as " seasonal allergic rhinitis" or inflammation of sinus due to exposure to spring pollen ! depends on your local area - pollen saturation in the air is high between february to july! you may try otc antihistamine as Allegra , nasal saline rinses to " flush nasal passages "! if more symptoms persists you may see your doc to prescribe more effective medication.

Some suggestions: Sometimes fluid behind the ear drum can cause a cough. If you try a lozenge or some honey, it could provide relief.
