thyroid problem? 
i've noticed my toenails have literally fallen off from the bed without trauma. also my fingernails are lifting from the bed as well

You nailed it.: There are a multitude of conditions that can cause toenails to become brittle, thickened, break off and even lift off from the nail bed. Both hypo and hyper thyroidism are included in the list of conditions. of course, there are a whole lot of other symptoms associated with both of these conditions. If you feel that you might have a thyroid condition you should follow up with your family doctor.

my foot reflexologist said i may have thyroid problem. i don't think i have any under or over metabolism issues. how do i get this checked?

Blood tests: Measurement of serum TSH and thyroid hormones would determine whether thyroid function is abnormal.

i had transverse myelitis 6 years ago i still have problems with my hands one foot and balance . my neck has a dull pain will this ever go away ?

Try therapy: After 6 years, the likelihood of it going away by itself is pretty low. However, pt/rehab may still be able to help.

i awoke yesterday with no feeling in both my legs. left foot ankle is now swollen. similar problems happe before:arms get numb,neck gets sore in sleep?

Doesn't sound good: Have you thought of going to see a medical doctor who can sort out what your problem might be? It would be particularly irresponsible, in my opinion, for any of us here to try and make a diagnosis of your problem, let alone, suggest some form of treatment. It would also seem to me, that you deserve to be evaluated by a physician in person. Do not take your health problems lightly and seek help.

i have an intense feeling exactly like when your foot falls asleep, only it runs from the back of my neck down to my waist along the right of my spine almost nonstop, for about 20 years, w/migraines and vision loss in left eye too. could this be ms?

: This seems like a neurological condition. Hopefully, you have a primary care doctor and had a physical recently. That would help to rule out underlying conditions. There are several reasons for these symptoms; migraines, MS, Lyme disease, syphilis, but that is just a shortlist. See a neurologist

Nothing if treated!: If treated appropriately, you do not have to have any long-term consequences from hyperthyroidism. If left untreated, the most serious concern is a heart problem like rapid or irregular heartbeat. Longstanding hyperthyroidism can cause osteoporosis (fragile bones) and fractures. If untreated, other issues can be psychiatric disease, weight loss, trouble sleeping, or eye disease.

hi my wife is 5 foot 1 and is obese although she exercises and eats well could it be thyroid or the citalopram possibly thanks?

Hard to say: but certainly both hypothyroidism (low thyroid) can result in weight gain, and most of the antidepressants, including celexa, (citalopram) are associated with weight gain.  It usually, however, is related to taking in more energy (food) than one is putting out (activity/exercise).  A dietician can review her diet and her health care provider can look into whether there are other factors, like thyroid problems.

i take bc powder for migraines and thyroid medicine. imitrex (sumatriptan) as well.

See below: This problem can only be solved by seeing your doctor and being evaluated face-to-face.  After a thorough examination, your doctor should be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.

numb& tingling down outside of right arm, hand & fingers, &can radiate to whole hand. sometimes right shin& top of foot - worst is inner side. sometimes left hand or foot. intermittent. good a1c, cbc, thyroid, b12, folate, bp. caused by my scoliosis?

: Suggest you have right arm and right leg evaluated via EMG/ NCV testing to evaluate pinched nerves in limbs.  Perhaps a visit to neurologist for examination will help pinpoint your problems.  Your scoliosis is not the answer.
