how can i address benign thyroid nodules and low tsh?

TSH : The nodules may be benign but hyper functioning.  A radioactive iodine uptake scan will highlight these nodules. Hyper function would account for low tsh.

i have a numerous thyroid nodules, benign in 2009. my tsh is extremely low, not on meds. why this rash over my thyroid & occasional dizziness?

Get it checked: See your doctor and let them recheck your thyroid funtion, this can be causing the dizziness. The rash may not be related.

Probably not: The nodule may cause the hyperthyroidism if it is an overactive nodule.

Stop Armour: There is no way to check your levels or keep your thyroid in control in your current regimen. Armour thyroid is ground up pigs. Switch to brand name T4 only and get it regulated. Also, have repeat thyroid biopsy with afirma test and consider surgery to remove nodule depending upon lab and ultrasound.

No: Tsh tells the thyroid to produce hormone and maintain its structure (or growth).  If your TSH is high normal, you are not at lower risk of shrinking any nodule size or developing nodules.

Depends: It is possible to have normal TSH levels, and it is also possible to have abnormal TSH levels. Benign nodules may or may not change in size. Anytime there is a change in nodule size (especially a rapid growth) anywhere on the body, it's good to have it reevaluated by a doctor.

i had some cold thyroid nodules years ago.  now my blood work showed 0.06 tsh.  can a cold nodule turn into a hot one, will followup with a t3t4.

Concern with nodule: If you have cold nodule of thyroid , main is concern is not thyroid function which can be managed easily but the nature of the nodule , weather it is benign or malignant. In your next visit most likely you will have  FNA  ( fine needle aspiration ) sample will give the answer . Speak to your doctor Good Luck

Less than 1 cm: Thyroid nodules are benign &gt; 90% of the time.  A small change of 2 mm may simply be variation in measurement.  Additionally all tumors benign and malignant increase in size.  In general growths less than 1 cm are usually monitored with ultrasound and a needle biopsy is performed if growing &gt; 1 cm or sooner with concerning findings/calcifications on ultrasound.

Probably not: Your physician will address the nodule, perhaps by having a needle biopsy performed. If your calcium is more than very slightly above reference range, and you're not just dehydrated, this deserves a lab workup to be sure you're not walking around with hyperparathyroidism which can make you quite sick. The high TSH also needs evaluation. All three are quite treatable.

Yes it can: Nodule can be benign, but keep monitoring tft, and watch for symptoms.
