i have painful trigger thumb with thumb dislocation found on xray. rheum wants me to wear splint/spica,but can this heal dislocation?

Hand surgeon.: I would get a second opinion with an orthopedic hand surgeon. The dislocation may need to be reduced first.

Start moving it with: It buddy taped to adjacent finger. Should be feeling better in a couple of weeks. May always have a little swelling in the pop joint and have to increase your ring size down the road of you wear a ring on that finger.

Not really: Maybe the tremor is a side effect of a medication you are taking because of the kneecap dislocation?

Varies: Both can be quite painful depending on the patients pain threshold, type of dislocation and  severity of fracture. Prompt treatment is required and preferred to restore normal alignment and protective spilinting to a fracture or dislocation.

: The person can try it out and see how comfortable or uncomfortable the act it. One non-functional figer should not prevent writing though the speed of writing is likely to be impaired.

Depends on the joint: "hand dislocation" is not specific enough to give you a definitive answer. The most common dislocation is of the middle joint of the finger.  If it is a dislocation with no fracture and is stable after it is put back in place, then you can often resume sports with the injured finger "buddy" taped to the adjacent finger.  If you have a more severe injury, it may take longer to return to sports.

See a doctor: This may or may not be related to your previous ORIF but the blood spots need to be evaluated as you may have a bleeding disorder or some vasculitis or other problem.  Get seen by a doctor soon

Injury: Possible fracture or dislocation with nerve injury. If affecting hand use or movement would get evaluation as some type of intervention and or physical therapy may help you recover faster or more completely.

went for x rays and no obvious dislocation seen, sehe lifts her hand over her head 2jours later but when sleeping she still have pain?

That can happen: The rule is not to lift toddlers and preschool kids by their hands, because one result can be a nursemaid's elbow. It occurs when a child's elbow is pulled and partially dislocates. The medical term is "radial head subluxation." If that's what happened here, then it either popped back into place, or somebody put it back into place. Doctor usually rechecks if not all normal in a day or so.
