Persistent abdominal discomfort can originate from the large or small intestine, stomach,  gallbladder, pancreas, liver, female organs, muscles or hernia of the abdominal wall, bladder, etc. Never hurts to get medical examination when questioning source.

: The possibilities include that the sandwich was spoiled-perhaps not stored cold enough and bacteria grew on it. It could also be it was overly fatty and you are having difficulties with fatty foods (although other foods would likely bother you as well). In either case, not buying that sandwich anymore is a reasonable solution. And, monitor for a similar reaction to other foods in your diet.

The common risk factors are eating large meals or lying down right after a meal, being overweight or obese, smoking, citrus fruits, and drinking certain beverages, such as alcohol, carbonated drinks, coffee, or tea. Treatment includes avoiding trigger factors, not eating at least 2 to 3 hours before lying down. losing weight and taking antireflux medications.

my 10months old daughter has a fever and everytime after eating and drinking her milk, she keeps throwing up. aside of visiting her pedia, what else i can do to lessen her throwing up?

: Hold the formula and baby food for the next 6 hours at the least, give her water or pedialyte if she agrees to take with small volume as slow as possible. Use suppository for fever reducer med if fever more than 102 F or 39 C, avoid oral medication for now. Take care.

Gastritis? Ulcer?: Stomach pain or cramps would be located in area of upper mid abdomen. Pain relieved by food makes may be one of the two above. Some causes are one of a combo of stress, highly spicy foods, excess coffee, anti-inflammatory drug...Food neutralizes stomach acid, as do anti-acid drugs. Lying down perhaps helps relax. If reducing exacerbating factors doesn't resolve the cramps, gp or GI evaluation.

my 17 yr old son had a hida scan yesterday. it came out showing his function was 80%. he has been having symptoms of gallbladder issues for two weeks. throwing up or nausea after eating, and upper right quadrant pain. do i need to look into removal?

Food poisoning: May be some Subway food ingredient did not suit your stomach. If you dont have fever and the vomitings seem to be under control, this should pass in ~48 hrs with just oral fluids and restrictions of solid foods until better. If vomitings persist to cause dehydration, pl go to urgent care for immediate assessment.

YouGotYourHeartInIt: Glad I saw this.It worries me a little.Of course,any doctor would need to know more but,a lot of other possibilities aside for now,at your age it could be related to your heart.A rather rare form of angina.I'd expect you'd get those symptoms after exertion too but everybody is unique.Best to get the heart issue settled ASAP. I'd also consider what I've been eating and how much. Lighten-up for now.
