what would cause stomach cramps for 3 days now that is relieved temporarily after eating and lying down? no throwing up or diarehea.

Gastritis? Ulcer?: Stomach pain or cramps would be located in area of upper mid abdomen. Pain relieved by food makes may be one of the two above. Some causes are one of a combo of stress, highly spicy foods, excess coffee, anti-inflammatory drug...Food neutralizes stomach acid, as do anti-acid drugs. Lying down perhaps helps relax. If reducing exacerbating factors doesn't resolve the cramps, gp or GI evaluation.
