Big difference: Spinal fractures are thankfully pretty rare.  They usually occur from a fairly high energy injury such as a car accident or fall from 10 feet or more. "throwing your back out" is unfortunately common.  It is a fairly generic term for muscle strains, and less commonly injuries to the lumbar discs or joints.

Use legs: Make sure you use your legs when lifting to avoid stress on your back. Sleeping position is also important for chronic back problems. Finally, some short term physical therapy where they can teach you a home back program to strengthen your back muscles and improve your range of motion is very helpful. Just don't overdo it too soon.

Vomiting infant: Vomiting in infants is a very common occurrence.  The most common cause is gastroesophageal reflux, a generally harmless (but sometimes uncomfortable) condition.  Vomiting associated with irritability, diarrhea, green colored or projectile vomit, fever, weight loss or decreased urination is a sign of significant illness.

seems like my lower back has tightened up to the point where i have to lie down.  i'm active and not overweight. is this what they mean by throwing it out?  all i was doing was throwing a frisbee.

Maybe: Most likely you have a muscle sprain in the back. Although you are young and active, you may have to get checked out for spine dislocation or other injuries if the pain is severe or you develop nerve damage. Or if the pain persists longer than a month.

Shoulder: It could simply be a muscle strain or related to some bursitis in the shoulder. See a doctor to figure it out. Take NSAIDs in the meantime.

Abdominal pain: How long has it been going on? Fever? Other symptoms? Loss of appetite?
It would be wise to have him checked by the pediatrician or ER doctor to rule out appendicitis or other serious causes. Some labs tests and imaging may be required to help make the correct diagnosis
