RUQ anatomy: Anatomically, the right upper quadrant (RUQ) of the abdomen includes: liver, gallbladder, pancreatic head, bile ducts and ampulla, c-loop of the duodenum, stomach antrum and pylorus, the hepatic flexure of the colon.  Don't forget the diaphragm and lower chest are pretty close by. The abdominal musculature, ribs, and skin can all contribute as well to localizing RUQ pain. An exam is appropriate.

No problem: When original approach t GB employed, syxtic and cystic artery were free tied.  Now with either open or laparoscopic procedure, clips are employed.  These are non reactive , usually titanium which cause no inflammation and rarely dislodge.  Even then there are no associated complications.  It is now considered normal to see vascular clips on a scan of an operative site.

can a gall bladder stone or gall bladder stone cause tenderness in both left, right upper abdomen? but i also get tenderness in whole middle and lower abdomen... i have no organ issue? but the most prominent pain is in upper abdomen?

Abdomen pain: Upper abdominal pain can be due to a variety of causes. Gall bladder stone can cause similar pain but is usually more colicky in nature. Gnawing , aching , burning pain can be more secondary to gastritis or stomach ulcers. Should get it examined and possibly an ultrasound. Treatment based on cause.

Abdomen/thorax pain: Most likely if this is a musculoskeletal injury it sounds like an abdominal muscle/rib cage muscle strain. This is usually caused from a twisting injury of the ribcage/upper torso. (commonly seemingly elliptical training with use of arms on the machine). If other abdominal complaints occur or begin to arise ( diarrhea, constipation etc) then a thorough exam of the abdomen is recommended.

Gallbladder pain: Usually is mid epigastrium or right upper quadrant.  Left side is unusual manifestation of gallbladder pain.  Consult your doctor for other possibilities.

No: Twitching is a muscle issue unrelated to the gallbladder.

Go for follow up: Let  surgeon see her and evaluate the cause , reason for the pain various causes  from small stones in bile ducts , peptic ulcer, etc , will need work up , only her doctor can the reason.

Poss hiatal hernia: Dear 317, this will, of course, need a thorough workup and some imagery, but from your description, it could well be a condition known as "hiatal hernia" where the top portion of your stomach has "slipped" up through the diaphragm into your chest.  It can sometimes cause pain, and usually has acid reflux associated.  Get with your pcp to rule out - there is surgery to repair if severe.

pain in upper abdomen under ribs and between shoulder blades.  feels like a gallbladder attack but i had mine removed in 2008 what is this?

Stones: Still you could developed stones in the bile duct without having your gallbladder, albeit uncommon it is possible. Contact your doctor if pain persist.
