See below: You are very young age wise to get a smoker's cancer  ordianrily it takes at least 20 years.  So the thing in your thrat may be an irritation from something you ate or in fact the smoking may cause you to feel this way but it is not cancerc.

Sx & tx: Sxs of throat cancer can include sore throat, coughing, hoarseness, ear pain, problems swallowing &  a mass/ lesion that isn’t healing. Fatigue  & weight loss may eventually develop. Throat cancer is often treatable. You should see your otolaryngologist to determine if you have throat cancer & what type it is if you do. The ENT surgeon should be able to supply you information on possible tx option.

Need to examine: Cancer is unlikely. What you noticed are likely to be lumps of lymphoid tissue normally present on the back of the throat. If the lumps get bigger to twice the size, become ulcerated, or bleed, see a doctor. Otherwise you may entertain watchful waiting.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Hoarse and others: Throat cancer (usually due to smoking) can cause various sign/symptoms depending on the exact location. If the primary tumor is on or near vocal cords then hoarseness is a symptom. I have had patients with 'back of the tongue' cancer or 'tonsil cancer' and these just caused 'pain' in the area. Also a late finding of 'head/neck cancer' is enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. An ENT md is best to see.

Pain & ulcerations: This isn't' an exhaustive list, but go see your doctor if you have progressive hoarseness or voice changes, throat pain, pain with swallowing, progressive difficulty swallowing foods or liquids,  an ulcer which won't heal or one which bleeds, weight loss, a lump in the neck or throat.  Smokers and drinkers are at much higher risk, but anyone can get it.

Hoarseness, etc..: Symptoms vary with the primary site.  Oral cavity lesions can present with nonhealing ulcers that are painful.  Hoarseness is an early symptom of laryngeal or throat cancer.  Sore throat or otalgia can be a late symptom of oropharyngeal cancer.  Rarely, patients can have rock hard cervical or supraclavicular lymph node enlargement.  Most patients present over 50 years of age.
