Pain in Mid Back: Can indeed be coming from a facet from a degenerated level, however, most patients with 'peri-scapular' pain, or pain around and under the shoulderblade from cervical degeneration and facet problems in the neck. Sometimes even due to referred pain from nerve impingement in the neck. Find a good orthopaedic spine surgeon to evaluate you and find the cause. Xrays do not show discs/facets. Good luck!

physio pressed on thoracic vertebral fracture causing immediate wheezing. why would this cause this? (fracture not dx until later)

Hard to say: Wheezing is usually in some way related to reactive airway disease of one form or another.  Pressure placed on the posterior aspect of the thorax could cause air to be expelled from the pulmonary cavity and could, in theory, make the wheezing more apparent. It is possible, especially if you have osteoporosis, that the fracture occurred  at that moment as well.

Hurts when pressed?: Pain that is worse when pressed is due to a sore superficial structure: a muscle, bone, joint, tendon, or ligament. You have a myofascial syndrome. This is not due to heart issues. Try taking an analgesic: Ibuprofen or Naproxen (instructions on the bottle).

If you have coronary artery blockages then your heart can't get enough bloodvandvhe result is angina pain. This can feel like pressure in the chest and may include difficulty breathing, pain into the jaw or down the left arm. Pain like this that doesn't go away with rest should prompt a trip to the er.

More info?: The first thing one thinks of is gallbladder, ulcers, gastritis when do you get pain?  What type? How long does it last? Anything make it better?  Anything make it worse?  Does food affect the pain?  Have you had any surgery ? How long has it been there?  Have u tried any medications? Did they work?  Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc?  Has anyone done any studies? Need a bit more.

first you need  a doctor to check this mass although it has been there for 5-6 years 
second this mass can be infected now so it make your visit to the doctor important and urgent
