ever since i had my colonoscopy about 1 month ago i have had ribbons (very soft) bowel movements. before constipation.

Colonoscopy: Hi, I think the normal flora of ur intestine has been disturbed with colonoscopy preparation, (we have good bugs living inside our guts) therefore I suggest adding Probiotic to your diet. If no improvement then see the doctor who has done the colonoscopy. Best of luck.

during my bowel movement. i noticed regular stool then flatten ribbon stools within the same bowel movement. any reason why?

Stool change: That can be associated with processes near the anus. Tumor, poly, inflammatory bowel, sphincter problem. Seeing your doctor and getting rectal exam would be helpful.

should i  be concerned if occasionally when i have a bowel movement( mine are shaped like balls) it looks like a very thin tail attached to one.

Constipated?: Small hard bowel movements, (Bristol 1 stools) are a sign of mild constipation, you should probably increase your fiber and water intake. If the "tail" looks wormlike this could be a sign of a tapeworm. If you have abdominal pain or recent unintentional weight loss, you should see your GP, as this combined with stool changes can be a sign of colon cancer.

Food fibers: Undigested fibers in the food are the most likely explanation. It is not a disorder and should not be of any concern. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

LBP: These two symptoms are not likely related although the medications you're taking for the back pain (like ibuprofen) could cause bowel problems.

all day my farts burned and smelt like rotten eggs. i finally had 2 bowel movements that was normal but also smelt like rotten eggs, then another one shortly after that which was sudden, small pencil thin shaped. what could this be?

Dietary factor?: If this is completely new &amp; there is no diarrhea, it sounds suspicious for a dietary cause: are there any new/different foods?  If not, perhaps a medication or supplement? Or major change in stress leading to irritable bowel?  If it persists more than a few days see Dr for eval. 
You could also try probiotics

Get checked: Possibly - 47 year old male with change in bowel habit - the safest answer is to get a thorough eval with med history, exam, and possible sigmoidoscopy or more. Pain, diet changes, new medications - pain meds/cold meds/allergy meds, dehydration, and many other things could be the cause.

accidentally taking too much magnesium 2000-3000mg for colon cleanse, bowel movements are stringy and urgent or in large patties? some are long and thin but multiple. would that be normal with too much magnesium?

: The maximum dose of magnesium is thought to be 2000 mgs.  More than that can cause excessive diarrhea with substantial fluid loss,dehydration and, if you have kidney function issues, serious consequences such as confusion,other neurological and cardiac rhythm disturbances. Notify your physician and get instructions or call the poison center to get advice.

i think for at least the past six months i've had irregular bowel movements. today i've started noticing my poop is very very dark green, it's been also shaped unusually (thin but long like a really skinny snake). i'm 22, fem. what's wrong with me?

: Stool color is derived from the ultra-green bile added in transit and changed thru yellows to brown by gut germ action. By itself, green poop is normal &amp; just suggesting it moved thru quicker. Poop shape is derived by the puckering action of your outlet. If you are concerned go, see your doc.
