Genetic not shower: Your hair loss is a genetic trait that is usually acquired from your Mother's father. Ask to see a picture of him at 19 or 20 chances are you have the same hairline. Take hot or cold showers it won't change your hairline.

Receding hair line: There are over the counter treatments for a receding hairline, like Minoxidil that are helpful.  Since the hair loss is in a 17 year old, i would recommend a visit to a dermatologist to make sure there are no other reasons for the hair loss.

A few options: To stop a receding hairline nonsurgically the most common option is propecia, (finasteride) hair and skin vitamins will also help.  Also make sure any dandruff is under control
surgery is also a great option but ca be expensive.  This however is permanent.

Medical causes may include: hormonal problems (low thyroid), seborrhea, alopecia areata, stressful illness. Other causes: genetic male/female pattern baldness, telogen effluvium

Maybe..: But it's more likely that the thinning and receding is genetic and will happen regardless.  The psoriasis (which stresses the skin that supports hair growth) may cause patchy hair loss and make the genetic thinning worse, but usually doesn't cause a receding hairline by itself.

Baldness: baldness can cause stress and vice versa,typically stress induced hearing loss tends to be patchy.  Any drug can theoretically promote hair loss.  Talk to your prescribing physicians, possibly consult with a dermatologist for an inspection.  Male pattern hair loss can be seen at your age

: It would be rather unusual for vitamin D to cause any hair loss, but would check serum levels to "clear the air".   Ideally you should be close to 50-70 ng/ml, and best not to be higher.  A dermatologist  should be consulted, regarding your scalp issues.
