i had unprotected sex two days after ending my periods and took an ipill on 3rd day after sex. i started bleeding after 6 days on taking i pill.. the bleeding is thick dark red colour.. should i be concerned?

: Taking emergency contraception often causes irregular bleeding patterns and this is very consistent with that. It does not, however, indicate how well it worked. If your next period still comes on time then you should be OK, but do a pregnancy test if it does not. Emergency contraception is better than nothing but you should not rely on it. The sooner you take it after unprotected sex the better.

Likely normal: Morning after pill upsets the hormonal balance may precipitate bleeding. 
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.

Hormonal imbalance: The morning after pill may cause irregular bleeding due to change in hormone levels. 
Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Yes it is normal: It is not that abnormal people are you following Your pills. You should be diligent about taking them at the same time each day. Otherwise consult your physician

: If the hymen is perforated bright red bleeding may occur after first time intercourse.  Dark red blood with clots &amp; cramping suggests that the bleeding is from the uterus and I don't think intercourse caused it. I'd consider it to be a period. A gynecologist can advise you best if you still have concerns.

Not unusual: Timing the start of your pill packet is important. Starting the wrong time can cause you to bleed heavily and bright red. It is not unusual to get some irregular bleeding in the first packet or two.
