You mean BCP's: or birth control pills (or oral contraceptives) which are combinations usually of an estrogen and a Progesterone product, often both synthetic or semi-synthetic.  Smoking does not specifically effect the effectiveness of the pill per se, but there are vastly greater risk to the woman who smokes and uses OCPs of getting blood clots - in the lower legs which can travel to the lungs and be fatal.

Cigar smoking: Smoking a cigar , one cigar it's probably not very dangerous every once in a while . Smoking  cigars has the same health risk, if not , worse than smoking cigarettes.

Not worse but as bad: Cigar smoke is just as toxic as cigarette smoke. Comparative toxicity is related to quantity smoked, but some cigars contain as much tobacco as a whole pack of cigarettes!

Yes, but risky: Nicotine is the same, both are tobacco, most people don't inhale cigars, but mouth and throat cancer riskare increased. Freud died of throat cancer.

Yes: Since most pipes and cigars aren't inhaled, they aren't associated as much with lung cancer. They are more associated with mouth and throat cancers. Other cancers are linked as well, but those are the most.

Yes: the smoking ritual itself, whether cigarettes, pipes or tobacco produces a psychological dependency, and the nicotine is absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth even in those who don't inhale. In addition, it is highly associated with head and neck cancer (mouth, tongue, throat etc), with higher amounts of cancer-causing tars than cigarettes have.
