Hard to say. : By definition, "alternative" is different than modern western medicine.  Generally any drug, herb, treatment, or oil that stands up to rigorous scientific scrutiny is included in modern medicine. Many alternative practices, oils etc do not stand up to scientific scrutiny and cannot be shown to work. 'course the people who sell them make big $$$.  Check https://nccih.nih.gov/

i have a bump on the back of my head.  the swelling has gone down with some heat and essential oils, but the pain is still there.  the pain is now; the back of my head, my right ear and down my jaw line.  why is it moving? should i be more concerned?

: If you do not have fever, sorethroat and overlying redness of the area apart from after the application of heat I would say it could be due to muscle tension. Is there soreness of the muscles with no significant swelling, then just wait and probably use neck support and muscle massage with the essential oil and heat in the area. If any of the symptoms mentioned get evaluated for possible infection

Anti-inflamm. Diet: Ankylosing spondylitis is a systemic, inflammatory condition that can lead to chronic back pain.  Because it is systemic, topical treatments are unlikely to have much affect long term.  There is some thought that an antiinflammatory diet can reduce inflammation levels in the body and can potentially have a dramatic affect.

Lower back pain: Low back from DJD may often be associated with spasm which some people interpret as lumps that come ago. Any body with lumps in the back should have a doctor look at it.

Sensitive testicles: There is no medical condition or concern with symptoms only when you touch something on your body and at no other time. Usually when someone tells a doctor something hurts when I do "this" the doctor advises the patient to stop doing "that".  Sounds like the next time you see your doctor you should mention this.

Burn: See your doctor asap as you may have an infection and will need oral antibiotics.

The most common reason is a posterior horn Meniscal tear with secondary formation of a Baker’s cyst. When the knee makes fluid do to injury or arthritis, the fluid often tracks to the back of the knee where the capsule is softer and more pliant allowing the formation of the cyst. I recommend Radiographs &amp; exam.

: Your swelling can be due to a number of different issues. Regardless of the cause, this should be evaluated by a urologist to determine what treatment, if any, is needed.
