No reverse effect: Eating "too many" blueberries will not result in oxidative damage. In theory, if all a person ate was blueberries, they could develop nutritional deficiencies, but the antioxidant compounds found in blueberries will not generate excessive reactive oxygen species to create cell damage.

Get a real Rx: Forgive my frankness. Antioxidants aren't the answer. Blueberries are wonderful to eat, are full of nutritious things, and are a great taste to acquire instead of sweets that will make you sick in the long fun. But like any other "pop" remedy, they're only an adjunct to effective acne rx. If benzoyl peroxide hasn't cleared you in 2 weeks, get with your physician. You owe this to yourself.

Gallstones : One possibility is that you are expelling gallstones from your gallbladder, which then enter the gut and are visible now that you have diarrhea as opposed to solid stool. It is possible that your stool is yellow because you have suffered a recent blockage at the exit of your gallbladder into your gut.  Would see a doctor if you start to feel ill.

my teen cousin (18) after eating blueberries a day ago noticed black specks in his stool. today, he saw more black specks appearing even though he ate 0 blueberries. we feel it is just his colon emptying the skins. is this correct? is this a concern?

: Not a concern. It takes 3-4 days for ingested material to pass completely out of the stool and debris from a single feed may be spread out over several days.
