i noticed a small lump on the outter part of my vaginal lips. it has grown over the last month and is the size of a small marble now. there is no pain and no sore where the lump is. it doesn't really move when i touch it?

PROBABLY CYST: Small, usually benign, cysts commonly occur on the labia minora and majora,  See a board-certified gynecologist for reassurance and/or removal.

1ml restylane lip filler for the first time from a dr. post 2weeks still lumpy and tender if massaged. is this normal ? also if the lumps are permanent,will they dissolve completely over the next 12 months back to normal without dissolving injections?

Accepted Answer

Temporary: Lumps will go down, but it might take several months.  Dissolving injections (hyalurinidase) are not necessary unless the lumps are large and you want them gone now.  Tenderness will resolve on its own.

i have painful lump inside upper lip, could it be a cold sore?

Lip lump: If it's an ulcer that has been there a few days than maybe.  But usually cold sores on on the dry part of the lip and aren't lumpy.  There are other things, like mucoceles (come after accidentally biting the lip) or tumors (including cancer) that could be the cause.  Get it checked out if it isn't going away.

i have a small hardish lump, located right in the middle of the rim of my outer lips (vagina) its not really itchy, nor sore. please help?

Lump: It could be a non infected sebaceous cyst.  If it doesn't resolve soon consider seeing a gynecolgist to confirm this.

Mucocele?: He may have a mucocele, which is a mucous filled cyst that can occur on the inner mucosal surface of the mouth.

Lymph node: I'm not sure what the Sore is but under chin could be a sore lymph node related to the infection of your lap. The lips lymph nodes drain to the Mac. I would see a doctor perhaps an ENT.

Sebaceous cyst: A blocked pore can allow the formation of a sebaceous cyst. This may require surgical removal. One should consult with a specialist.

Variable: Cold sores are painful liquid filled blisters that can occur on the lips, roof of the mouth or the gums which are usually caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). Tingling &amp;/or pain can herald the oncoming of cold sore 1 to 2 days prior to eruption.

Inside or Outside?: A mucocele is a benign painless fluid filled lump that may appear as a soft, compressible bump in the mucosal tissue (inside the mouth) of the lower lip.  A history of some type of trauma is the usual cause where the duct to the minor salivary glands in the lip become occluded and results in swelling.  If the lesion is crusted, hard and bleeds, you should have it evaluated.

Dr. can check throat: Throat pain can be from strep throat (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause. One's FIRST case of oral herpes can cause mouth sores from front to back. Later recurrences should cause cold sores on or near the lips. To lessen mouth pain, one can see her doctor and ask about mouth rinses (some contain anesthetic, Maalox, Benadryl, etc.).
