Incomplete data: A 'tender spot" doesn't give much to work with. Where on the head? Flat or raised ? Color change of surrounding skin ? History of recent bug bite or trauma? This could be as simple as a swollen lymph node from a bug bite, an abscess forming around an infected hair root, a blood pocket from trauma, and more.When you submit a question, the more data you provide the more likely we can help.

Lymph node?: It sounds like an enlarged lymph node.  The soft tender spot is probably what the lymph node is associated with.    If it gets worse instead of better, see a doctor.  I wish you the best!

: It is likely a nerve pain (neuralgia), recurring off and on, a self limited condition which resolved after 2-3 days. Taking Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen as needed if bothered too much.

Scalp lesion?: The bones of the skull should have been fused for a very long time now (you are 26, right?).  I suspect that what you are referring to is a superficial scalp lesion; however, the only way to determine is to be seen by a physician so that they can examine the area of concern and then treat accordingly. New headache: Headaches can be a concerning symptom and can have many causes.  Some are deserving of emergent treatment.  Warning signs are chronic headaches that suddenly change in quality or intensity, multiple headaches a week, new onset headaches that affect one's ability to function, associated vomiting, associated dizziness/double vision/neck ache/fever/weakness, or the need to take daily pain medication.

Probably nothing: You have probably bumped or irritated the "spot" in some manner.  Have someone look to see if there is anything visable.  If not, give it a while.  Remember, in medicine, something bad usually does not go away and gets worse and becomes apparent, if it goes away, it was nothing to start with.
