If it does work and the numbness is not new and resolves with the headache, contact the doc who prescribed the medicine tomorrow about the next step.

Barre-Lieou Syndrome: The syptoms you describe can have many causes. I would like for you to see your physician to rule out diabetes, temporal arteritis, or dysfunction of the sympathetic nerves in your neck which could represent barre-lieou syndrome.

If you truly feel you have this condition, then you need to see your doctor or the Urgent Care immediately. First it's better to work up the more common findings that your condition can be.  then proceed with the less common possibilities. Start by callung your doctor.

Alternatively it could be the first symptom of glaucoma or a sinus infection.  I would advise you to see an eyemd followed by an ENT doctor.

Not likely a tumor: A brain tumor is pretty far down the list of possibilities. I think you have pinpointed the most likely cause yourself: muscle tension. Neck, shoulder, temple, jaw muscle tightness and pain create anxiety which causes more tightness which causes more pain which ...
   I don't discourage you from seeing your primary care physician but I think you can worry less about a brain tumor. Feel better!
