ive been getting these hard bumps on my butt and back of thighs, it seemed to happened right after i shaved but they have been there for over a week and just now going away because i used tea tree oil on them. ?

These may be: infected hair follicles. Insure you use fresh, sharp blades vice dull blades.  Wash area before shaving – warm water helps to soften hair. Use a lubricant when shaving. Avoid using products that contain alcohol or are scented.  Shave in direction of the hair – not against it. Be gentle.

hi. i have a bad case of jock itch for 8 years. it itches like crazy mainly  if i eat bread or anything sweet. i tried tea tree oil, and applied it directly on it. it burned like hell, but the next day it was gone. now it's back. what do i do?

Stop self treating: Get examined. You will need to stop any oils which will "lock in" any fungal infection. You will need to be examined,placed on both oral antifungal antibiotic and a cream that contains antifungal and cortisone medications. 8 years is a bit absurd...and you now have a chronic skin condition. Consider a dermatology evaluation.

i had on acrylic nails and i broke my nail bed in half (injury), right now my nail bed is very short and i was wondering if its gonna grow back to normal. i have a little fungus. ive used tea tree oil. so will that go away too? or is this permanent?

: A little fungus is not a useful statement. If there is fungal infection of the exposed nail bed you should try an over the counter antifungal cream. If that does not resolve the issue in a week or so, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

Probably not fungus: You forgot to identify the "medicated cream". Tea tree  oil is not very effective. You need to begin with a precise diagnosis. "Fungus" is not likely. See a dermatologist.

Recurrent BV...: ...is the best bet. Tea tree oil and garlic will not help, and I doubt hydrogen peroxide will either. Probably you will need another 7 day course of oral metronidazole. After that, vaginal metronidazole (MetroGel®) or boric acid vaginal capsules often are effective in preventing recurrence. If your doc is unfamiliar with these, find a gyn with interest in infectious diseaseas. Good luck!

Herbal remedy: Tea tree oil derived from the melaleuca tree is used as a topical antiseptic for bacterial and fungal infections. I can't tell you if its effective or not. It's also used as a substitute for tea. There are in expensive effective otc antibacterial and antifungal creams & ointments that can be used just as easily and that are known to be effective.

What tree ?: Many are referring to the eucalyptus or possibly the mellaluka tree.  There are many others such as the cinchola tree which the bark is known for treating malaria.  Please don't see the words tea tree and think of a medicinal that is a cure all.  They are rare in their uses and that is why pharmacies have studied researched and found the ingredients in them which are benificial.

Tea tree oil: tea tree oil is toxic if ingested orally. If it has been swallowed, you should contact your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222 immediately. It can also cause irritation with topical exposure also.

Yes, a known remedy: As in one of earlier post regarding home remedy for warts--tea tree oil, raw garlic, and duct-tape etc...Have been shown to be effective. But, about 60-65% of warts go away without treatment in about 2 years.
Otc compound-w can be quite effective as well, if used appropriately. If these measures not adequate, consult your doc..As there are many treatment available. Good luck.
