Preg test : Vaginal discharge is not a pregnancy symptom. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy.

Need evaluation: The first thing that needs to be done is to rule out infection and to make sure you're not pregnant! I'd see a health care provider.

Mid cycle spotting: Since you are mid cycle (which is day 14 of the cycle) this could be mid cycle spotting. Sometimes women will spot due to hormone changes of ovulation. Another possibility is your hormones were off some this cycle and so you're spotting. At any rate this is usually not a problem and should resolve on its own. Another possibility is a cervical or vaginal infection. Get checked if it doesn't stop.

Can't tell: It's hard to tell whether you are going to start your period by the discharge you are describing.  You will have to wait for the real thing.

Sounds like infection: It is very important that you see a doctor to get tested. You may have a simple infection like yeast or bacterial vaginosis or you have  contracted a sexually transmitted disease which will need to be treated.

Spotting: It could be a small amount of old blood mixed in with your normal vaginal mucus that's is giving it the tan color.

Visit doctor: Your symptoms may be related to any number of causative agents such as infectious, allergic or even imbalance of normal vaginal flora leading to overgrowth of some bacteria or yeast. My advice is to visit your doctor or gynecologist to figure out what is going on.

Reassuring that...: Reassuring that you heard the heartbeat at 7.5 weeks. Still possible to have a miscarriage, and there is not way to tell you with certainty that the new red spotting isn't this, but if it is, there is nothing to do to prevent it. So i would suggest taking that as the positive sign it is, relaxing, and looking forward to your next appointment, at ~11 weeks, when you should be able to hear it again!
