Try looking online: Years ago, listings were available only in printed form. By the turn of the century, lists had become available online everywhere. Now, some lists are only online, and no longer printed. County medical societies (or other local medical societies), hospitals, and insurance companies usually list doctors by name, group, insurance plans and location. Look under Neurology, or Physical Medicine (PM&amp;R).

The neurologist can take your clinical findings and correlate with the imaging findings. This allows you to see how your doctors arrived at your diagnosis. You may also contact your radiologist.

Possibly: A neurologist might help, but a neuropsychologist might be even better.  It sounds like your child needs some very specific developmental testing.  No matter who you see, make sure a plan is in place to help your son with his issue.

: It is a common practice to relate any relevant history and or physical findings to a specialty consultant when a doctor arranges a consult. I would find it unprofessional if they did not. I would also not assume anything else was part of that discussion.

i had a vertibral artery dissection on 1/17/22. i had an mri today and my other vessels are compensating so they said everything looks good. i never got to talk to the neurologist so i never got to ask how long will i have symptoms?

: You don't mention whether you suffered brain damage, other than headache, from the dissection. You really should ask your neurologist for more information about your current status if you sustained brain damage such as difficulty swallowing, or speaking,balance problems or visual issues and, if so, how much improvement you can expect over time. We wouldn't be able to provide any prognosis.

Neck injury: You are on the right track.  Stick w/your neurologist.  Also consider seeing a nutritionist for advice concerning supplements that may help w/nerve damage such as alpha lipoid acid at the right dose and good fatty acids.  Peace and good health.
