Exclude hemorrhoids: Rare diagnoses are rarely correct. Chordoma is an uncommon tumor. It would be prudent to rule out hemorrhoids, that seem to be able to explain your symptoms, before considering other diagnoses.

Rectal Xame 4 coccyx: pain very diagnostic. Sounds gross but MD is able 2 grab the coccyx with the index finger in the rectum &amp; the thumb on the outside. If this is done, and the coccyx is wiggled it would B very painful. I would get a 2nd opinion.

Should questionmuscu: Would  also question musculoskeletal. Veins don't conduct pain beauty feel  thespian along their course. We  would think of  irritated  never  or  muscles. It is important  to know what  makes it  better  and what  makes it  worse.
Ask your  gastroenterologist what  else   they think. Also look a nerve  pinching of the sacral  area.  The vein studies  will not  help.

Donut pillow: Use a pillow with a cut out.  That will avoid your coccyx from having direct pressure on the seat.

Doughnut pad: The best and easiest treatment is to use a doughnut pad to relieve pressure on your coccyx.  If this fails to relieve your pain, you should be seen for an examination.

Don't Assume : Could be one of many things.  Most likely it is what is called myofascial/musculoskeletal which should be reassuring.  The fact that it hurts with sitting only is reassuring that more sinister issues not likely.  However, the abbominal pain is a bit concerning with the back pain.  Female issues, bowel issues and renal issues need to be ruled out.  Your primary physician would be a good start.

Female coccyx: The pelvis (the hinge between the hip bones) can be tipped by pregnancy, falls on the coccyx, or spasms in the low back.  Pressure from the organs in the pelvis (bladder, uterus, and rectum) translate directly to the coccyx. Please check with your doctor for an internal exam and risk of infection in this area.  You are having significant symptoms for someone your age.

following d&e 1 month ago i have had consistent coccyx pain and rectal pressure when sitting. blood work is normal, mri rectum was normal, transvaginal ultrasound was normal, gi and gyno discharged and said to try pelvic floor pt. any other ideas?

: You describe a thorough workup that has revealed no abnormalities. Perhaps there was a strain or mild secondary trauma from your procedure a month ago. Try to be patient and give it more time as it would not be unusual for recovery from something like that to take two or three months. Pelvic floor PT would probably not be helpful, but neither would it make things worse.

when i clench or push my anal sphincter i get this pain slightly below and to the sides of my tailbone. pain started 3 weeks ago and i stopped weight lifting 2 weeks ago. i notice this pain most when sitting or putting pressure on my butt. ?

Get exam: Weight lifting may be the clue. Rotated SAcro-Iliac joint, herniated disc, or other local pathology can be determined in a good exam, which should,include a rectal exam. Sitting increases intra-discal pressure, and improper lifting could have forced muscles or joints into painful positions. For now, try doing some log rolls with 1 leg flexed, then change to,other side. Good luck.
