Dont understand ?: A broken bone typically causes moderate-severe pain for 3-4 days and then it improves. If you have been on the medication for a week, you have not developed a physical dependency yet, and should have no problem stopping. If the pain is still moderate-severe, something is wrong with your healing and you should see doctor again. If not, take plain tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen (if ok with your doctor).

Fracture coccyx: You could see a primary care and  get x-ray or the area or MRI, and they could treat conservatively with ice NSAIDS, donut pillow,. or could go to orthopedist who would treat similarly or if severe may inject  with steroid or in the rare event could perform surgery for unremitting pain .

Treatment would include finding a suitable cushion, possible lumbar support for chairs or your car.A course of Physical therapy w/core strengthening &amp; Lidocaine gel.
