4 weeks ago my tsh levels were 8.8, they changed my synthroid from 0.125 to 0.150.. now my levels are 0.7.. is this a  normal drop in only 4 weeks?

Yes it should be: TSH responds to blood thyroid hormone levels very quickly.
So the drop in TSH in your case is real and yes it usually takes place in 3-4 weeks time.
You should be OK on this dose of synthroid.

i am on synthroid -150. but my tsh level is 14 ml. why?  i gave gained weight.

Dose adjustment: A TSH of 14 indicates insufficient thyroid hormone replacement and you should consult your doctor or an endocrinologist to adjust the dose. The weight gain may well be due to insufficient thyroid hormone replacement.

having a bad time trying to get my synthroid (thyroxine) levels right. should drs go by tsh only?

Synthroid (thyroxine) dose: With levothyroxine (synthroid) and normal pituitary function and no other concomitant illnesses the TSH is usually all your doc needs to look at.  Are you taking the synthroid every day on an empty stomach? Are you sticking with one brand (i.e not switching from generic to brand)?  Also, there can be errors in TSH measurement (labs are not perfect).

ive been on synthroid for 20 years, and my tsh levels were recently 8.0. can this cause anxiety/dizziness? my dose is changing from .125 to .150 now.

Right action: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that,  Please give it a few weeks for your system to stabilize and ask your doctor if a repeat TSH is warranted. 
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Less than 3, but!: Go for levels betweem 0.3 and 1.0. You will feel better!

Titrate: You need to be started on a low dose of levothyroxine.  Generally, it is started at 25mcg daily, and is rechecked in 6 weeks, and adjusted as needed.

Yes that: means that the dosage of your thyroid medicine is the correct one!! Most thyroid replacement keeps the TSH at a low to normal level!

It may be: lowered , discuss it with your dr. The normal range for tsh is .3-3 and for t4 is 4.5-11.2 according to one laboratory values tha i looked.

Recheck the labs: Based on your question, this does not make sense.  An increase in your thyroid dose should increase the T3 (liothyronine) and t4, and decrease the tsh. Was there a lab error?  Are you taking the meds correctly?  Is there something else going on with your thyroid?  Are you in recovery from a severe illness?  Check with your doctor.

my tsh level is 14.70 and i am currently taking synthroid 150. dr wants to increase to 175. is this sufficient or should i push for more blood work?

Should help: yes that level is too high however I would recommend a full hormonal evaluation to see why your TSH is so high.
