Not necessarily: We need a little more information to answer this. Are you referring to nodules outside the organ of origin or smaller nodules near the tumor in the organ of origin. In the former situation, this implies spread via the circulation; in the latter situation, these "satellite" nodules grow by direct extension from the tumor.

Cancer treatment: No. If the neoplasm is thought to be limited and amenable to excision or complete removal, then it is the treatment of choice. Adjuvant chemo and/or radiation are used to kill residual microscopic local or distant metastatic disease. It is not a good idea to just debulk the malignancy. The goal is to excise or remove entirely all gross disease. What "spills" in blood stream is insignificant.

No: Luckily, life is not so fragile. Otherwise, there would be a lot of people showing up at their doctor's offices looking sickly but with gorgeously vibrant hair color. The more common problem seen is a scalp reaction (allergic reaction or irritant reaction) due to the chemicals interacting with the skin.

Stage 4 lung cancer: I'm sorry to hear about your best friend. Stage 4 lung cancer non-small cell type nowadays with all the advances we have made in modern chemotherapy and targeted therapies,  the average survival is about 12-15 months. The chances of making 2 years is about 20% and chances of making 5 years are less than 5 %. There are very few patients who survive long term.

No: Transfusions given usually for anemia are usually selected from healthy patients.  Even if an unknown malignant situation were present in the donor and there were cancer cells in circulation, implantation in any tissue and tumor growth would not occur.  The cells would have to have shed and not just been present in  the blood and the recipient would have to have been on immunosuppressive agents.

Depends : First rule in skin cancer treatment is to remove entire lesion with normal margins, you do not not ' exfoliate' .  Basal cell cancers do not not spread out side,  are locally invasive, squamous  cell cancer, and melanomas will spread  by incomplete removal.
