Pulled leg muscle: This depends on location. For example, if in calf muscle u get sore tender stiff calf, if in hamstring u get tender swollen back of thigh, if in quadriceps muscle u get swollen tender front of thigh. The first one is common in golfers, the second in football, & the third in climbers.

Yes: A muscle tear can cause bleeding and that would manifest as a bruise that could be seen below the area of pain.  (blood drains downward due to gravity).

my thigh (groin) is hurting when i walk.  i think it's a torn muscle but i'm not sure. it's not a blood clot i got that checked. what could it be?

Groin pain : Groin pain can be referred pain from your hip joint. Some possible causes of this can be early arthritis of the hip or possibly a torn labrum.l of the hip. The labrum is a ring of tissue around the hip joint. Make an appointment with your Orthopaedic surgeon to be evaluated and have some X-rays of your hip and pelvis taken. Not a DVT.: A DVT, or clot in the deep veins of the leg, cause achiness and leg swelling which is persistent all the time - not just when you're active. Your symptoms sound much more like hamstring tendonitis or a muscle tear. There are a few different tests, from CT to ultrasound to MRI, which can distinguish these and help your doctor create a plan to minimize your pain and speed healing.

Probably can't...: Which muscle? When?  When someone really completely tears a muscle there's usually swelling and bleeding from the injury as well as profound weakness of that muscle. Most muscles have at least partial backup so that unless there's complete lack of movement like a torn achilles' tendon, you won't know for sure.  See your doctor if it persists.

Anything is possible: It could be joint pain from arthritis or a labral tear, tendinitis, bursitis or muscular. If you want to know have the hip evaluated.

Tear: It could be acute strain or a sprain. Rest and anti inflammatory medication would be effective. Also moist heat compresses may help. Good Luck

Muscle tear healed: The best way to determine healing is to follow-up with the physician that treated the injury. Physical examination of the leg is necessary and possibly a follow up scan if there are any concerns following the exam. Physical therapy is also helpful in monitoring improvement in strength and pain, as an indicator of healing.

i had a quad muscle tear now after 3 months i have started running about 6 km a day does it mean i can play soccor again is there a way to test my leg?

Yes, there is which: your Doctor can do, by clinically examining you and checking the strength and comparing It to the other side.
If you are already running, I am sure you are ready to paly soccer, BUT have it checked by your Doctor.
