how many hours of vocal/singing practice is safe? by safe i mean strained vocal chord, vocal injury and practice that is in harmony with our body. i know professionals practice a lotttt, but is it really safe? where to draw the line?

: The idea is to sing and not shout. A skilled politition can talk forever without injuring vocal cords. If your throat starts to feel sore, stop for a while and have some warm tea or water. Professional opera singers use their voices carefully and can get through a long opera with good technique. ( I am a singer myself.)

: Give your voice rest. You may try inhaling water vapor. Any lozenges may help by soothing the throat. If you have fever, get tested for infection like covid or flu. Noisy breathing : Noisy breathing on inspiration without any other cause. Diagnosis can be when patient has an episode and laryngoscopy shows inappropriate closure of the vocal cords. Treatment can range from speech therapy to reflux treatment to tracheostomy.

Too many questions!: HPV and HIV are both viruses transmitted sexually but not similar at all.  HPV does not produce symptoms except for genital warts and may lead to cervical cancer.  Can test females with a cervical swab but there is no test for males and no test or indication to test for oral HPV infection. HPV does not cause death in males.

The classic presentation is of calf tightness, stiffness, and pain that worsen over days to weeks. Walking or jogging tends to provoke symptoms . Swelling and disability are generally mild.
