No: Meralgia causes pins and needles sensation on the top of the thigh. It does not cause significant pain and does not cause swelling. See a neurologist or rheumatologist.

what are the symptoms of a torn muscle in leg?

Accepted Answer

Pulled leg muscle: This depends on location. For example, if in calf muscle u get sore tender stiff calf, if in hamstring u get tender swollen back of thigh, if in quadriceps muscle u get swollen tender front of thigh. The first one is common in golfers, the second in football, & the third in climbers.

Accepted Answer

In non-clutched: Vehicles operating an accelerator and brake pedal, while requiring some contraction of the quadriceps muscles, requires mush less effort than walking or cycling.  If you have had a surgical repair then this question needs to be directed at your doctor and i can't advise.

Rest!: I would get it evaluated, but rest, ice and anti inflammatory medication will help.

Yes: A muscle tear can cause bleeding and that would manifest as a bruise that could be seen below the area of pain.  (blood drains downward due to gravity).

Electrolytes d: Drink Gatorade, rest, apply heat and take Motrin as directed.

Possibly : The fact you keep your cell phone in that pocket and on vibrate node. Your nerves have memory and occasionally you feel the vibration effect even when the phone is not there.

my thigh (groin) is hurting when i walk.  i think it's a torn muscle but i'm not sure. it's not a blood clot i got that checked. what could it be?

Groin pain : Groin pain can be referred pain from your hip joint. Some possible causes of this can be early arthritis of the hip or possibly a torn labrum.l of the hip. The labrum is a ring of tissue around the hip joint. Make an appointment with your Orthopaedic surgeon to be evaluated and have some X-rays of your hip and pelvis taken. Maybe: Persistent muscle twitching can be due to overuse of the muscle, or irritation of the nerve going to that muscle. If there was no unusual activity to provoke it , there may be irritation of the nerves that go to the leg which come from the low back. You may need imaging of the spine.
