Don't know: You should have it looked at.  You can get a swelling of the blood vessels of the temple with any strenuous activity but it should go away.  If this has lasted 2 weeks it really should be looked at by a physician.

With medication: 48-72 hrs minimum. What medicine were you given for treatment. 12 hours is too early to see effects of therapy.

You may be right...: It might be your wisdom tooth. Then again, it might not be. The cause is unknown. An exam by a local dentist will let you know what the issue is and what treatment is needed, if any.

Swelling: Hello, there are many reasons for swelling in these areas. One possibly being allergy. The best bet would be to review your exposures, anything new (like detergents, skin or hair care products, foods). Review these with your doctor. Medication and testing may be in order.
