Broken bone?: It wouldn't be a common place to get a fracture, but if it hurts to touch the area or you're having trouble moving your hand, you may want to get an X-ray.  Hope this helps.

: Seems like you possibly reacted to something. The most severe reactions occur rapidly within seconds to minutes, so if you’re steadily getting better after several hours, then that is a good sign. But of course you need to see a doctor if the swelling worsens.

Could be arthritis: You describe what sounds like basilar thumb joint arthritis.  Your doc could diagnose this for you.

Needs to be checked: I recommend that you go to the er and get it checked as it is a deep cut and you may need stitches, nerve damage can only be assessed on examination.Whenever you sustain a deep cut in hands there is possibility of nerve damage depending on location.You may need to be treated by a hand surgeon after er assessment.

Tenosynovitis: How mobileis the finger? There is concerned about infection or tendinitis. Based on the mobility of the finger and if there's any deficits of motion, we would consider getting an MRI. If the area is tender or red and painful then there is concern about infection, if there's any history of trauma we would be concerned about tendon tears or avulsions.

while working out i kind of tweaked my left wrist area. the area below the thumb on the palm side above wrist. looks looks bigger than the right thumb area. not sure if its swollen or they normally look like that. hurts when pressed. ice therapy?

POSSIBLE FRACTURE: THIS IS A TYPICAL INJURY THAT CAN CAUSE A COLLES FRACTURE IN THE WRIST  OR NAVECULAR FRACTURE. IN THE HAND BY THE THUMB. GO TO URGENT CARE OR EMERGENCY ROOM TO BE EVALUATED

Needs to be seen: Bites can lead to cellulitis - an infection of the skin. If the bite was deep, like a puncture wound by a cat, there is concern for a deeper infection. Deep infections may require urgent/emergent antibiotics and sometimes even surgery. If there is spreading redness, inability to move the joint, or worsening swelling - I recommend being seen immediately.
