i have a swollen lymph node and that has made me curious if i have any more. i started feeling around my neck and felt a few bumps that were on my trachea. unlike the swollen one, these don't portrude out. am i just feeling a lymph node?

Doctor can evaluate: Swollen lymph nodes in the anterior neck, sometimes without a sore throat, can be strep throat. Other causes of such symptoms include cold and flu viruses, pollen allergies, stomach acid reflux, etc... If it turns out to be strep throat, antibiotics such as amoxicillin are the usual treatment. Cold viruses typically go away in about 5-15 days.

hi!  i have had pretty severe pain near my trachea everytime i swallow or cough or breath heavily.  i don't see a red throat or swollen throat because?

Pain nr. trachea: Could be thyroiditis. get TSH, thyroid antibody tested. See ENT

Time to see doctor: When having issues with neck and throat best to see doctor for exam. Very important area and you do not want to have any breathing issues

mri showed several swollen lymph nodes along chest bone and trachea. should i be concerned. dr is ordering ct of chest now.

Possibly: Reason for ordering an MRI of chest.  The presence of several lymph nodes suggests more than a localized process.  Nodes along the chest bone represent internal mammary  nodes which usually drain tumor cells from medial breast.  When para tracheal nodes are added if significant should suggest possible lymphoma.  PET/CAT would show other sites of possible nodal involvememt.  Bx necessary for dx.

my trachea feels swollen, should i be concerned? sore throat, kind of hard to swallow, physical trachea is hurting. when i run my hand alongside the base of my throat i feel the trachea buldging. what could this be ?

: You need to see your doctor and get examined to find out what is wrong. There really is no way to know what the problem is without examining you. If you become short of breath, then go to the nearest ER or urgent care. You may need to see ENT. Good luck to you!

severe cold.cough up and blowing out green stuff.airway swelling in the same place a dr would normally put a trachea tube.severe throat pain there.severe headache.will my airway continue to swell and why is it feeling like it's halfway swelled shut.

Emergency room: You may have a lower respiratory tract infection. Please proceed to the emergency room. The green discharge represents an infection most likely and cultures are indicated. 
If you have a nebulizer, please administer your medications.

Yes and no.: There are lymph nodes around your trachea.  However, your trachea has to do with breathing not swallowing.  If you're having trouble swallowing I would see your PCP for an evaluation as there are many causes.

Yes: It is quite difficult to tear a trachea because it is both tough and protected.  A fear would allow all kinds of the wrong things directly into your airway and would require surgical repair.

Trachea is part of: the Respiratory system .  It forms branches  or bronchi into the lung tissue  or alveoli  to enable gas exchange.

: Your post is bizarre. Every normal person has a trachea and lives with it until they die, usually from natural causes.  Perhaps you were trying to post about something else. You are welcome to start over.
