It is likely virus i: Common clods from viruses are often the cause in which case it should settle down in 1 to 2 weeks. If it does not get better , seek medical attention as it can also be strept throat  in which case you may need antibiotics in order to get well.

See an ENT: Swollen lymph nodes (glands) can be due to a number of causes. The associated tiredness in the absence of flu symptoms is worrying. Please visit an ENT.

Yes -see doctor: It's always good to see a doctor if you have health concerns, because that way you can get the best treatment possible. Health Tap is useful for some things -but it's nice to have someone listen to you, examine you and perform the appropriate tests...particularly if these symptoms have gone on for more than a few days. A sore throat could mean various things such as Strep, a viral infection etc.

Something infectious: Mono is from the EBV virus, and can cause swollen glands (lymph nodes) and big tonsils. Strep throat can do the same thing, but Strep throat needs antibiotics. Some other infections can cause big lymph nodes. More rarely, blood disorders and blood cancers cause swollen lymph nodes and fatigue (person often gets anemic). This all means that a trip to the doctor would be wise.

throat pain for over a month, been talking penicillin for a week with no improvement. swollen glands on left side of neck. i don't feel sick. help!

Viral pharyngitis: With throat pain and swollen glands one wants to be sure there is bacterial and not viral infection.  If penicillin isn't working and WBC normal use warm gargle with peroxide.  Antibiotics induce MRSA as a possible side effect of unnecessary antibiotic treatment. Warm soaks also applied to neck nodes.

: The most benign condition would be a reactive LN or possible EBV.  My concern would be lymphoma however and I would urge you to see your PMD for a complete evaluation ASAP.

See a doc : See a doctor and get an HIV test - there are other possibilities like chlamydia as well of course But primary hiv can present like that

Pharyngitis : Suggest andolex and myprodol.
If not settling, then see GP for antibiotics and FBC with differential to determine cause.

Possible mono: Your description could be consistent with mononucleosis which is caused by ebstein barr virus.  You should see your regular doctor for further evaluation and to confirm or refute this possibility.

what illnesses involve swollen glands, a sore throat, and white blisters in the back of your throat? there are puss pockets on both sides of throat, but only the right side of my throat hurts and is swollen.

This : This sounds like strep throat. However the "white blisters" on your throat are worrisome. The concern is a peritonsilar abscess, which is an emergency that needs to be addressed right away. Seek medical attention asap if you have not done so already.
