Any other swollen nodes? Any fevers, rashes?   If still present in a week, this should be checked out by your doctor.

But if your armpit nodes are swollen and are painless then you must see a doctor soon to find out the cause. Also examine your breast for any lumps and make sure that you do not have any lump/ growth in your breast.

Confusing: If your GP was not able to palpate a lump, then is it gone??  Did you try and show him/her where it was located?? Anyway, chances are it is a reactive lymph node which should go away within a week.  Suggest seeing your GP again if it is still there after 2 weeks
