I have had sore n swollen glands under both my armpits for a week. what could this mean?

Infection: This suggests infection - either localized "boils" in the underarms from shaving and/or ingrown hairs; or a symptom of a larger, systemic infection somewhere in the shoulder/breast region, or a generalized infection. Any other swollen nodes? Any fevers, rashes? If still present in a week, this should be checked out by your doctor.
