Good idea!: A month is a long time to suffer - your body's efforts to fight this by over-working lymph glands are not enough and pus = infection. Yes, see a Dr. for exam/eval/Rx. Feel better soon.

Probably not: those are not listed as any of the known side effects from the pill.  You may coincidentally have a viral or bacterial pharyngitis.  You may want to do some saltwater gargles and if it does not improve see your physician.

can someone helphad strep 2 months ago. throat is still asymmetrical, slightly swollen not sure if pus pockets are there. looks alittle inflamed. nothing hurts. sometimes i get strains in neck throat and shoulders.. or pins and needles then goes away?

: This does not sound abnormal or concerning. Most likely your anxieties about it are magnifying minor symptoms or even normal body sensations that otherwise would not be bothersome and maybe not even noticed. Try not to worry about it.

Sounds like it.: Could be viral upper respiratory tract infection which would generally include additional symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, cough, etc. Could also be early strep throat which should not have many additional symptoms.

Gland: hard to tell from the picture. The gland is on each side of the neck under the jaw but theres a channel called a duct that enters your mouth under your tongue. If you notice swelling in that area its your gland. Most common cause is dehydration or a stone. Have it checked out with an ENT

See a doc: Even though the pain went away, you could have strep throat , so please get checked for it, because if you have it and don't take antibiotics there can be (but not always) serious complications later on. It is easy and inexpensive to treat, if you have it.
