No: ABI and arterial test are pretty accurate tests.  If normal then angiogram should not be needed. Sometimes people can have chronic compartment syndrome. If this is persistent problem you should consider seeing an orthopedic surgeon.

my mom had a successful angiogram 3 days ago but is very fatigued still and is developing calf cramp only upon walking. there is no swelling or rednes?

Call doc: Please call the doc that did the angiogram right away.  New onset calf pain after a procedure could mean something serious and you need to talk to that doc or your primary care doc as soon as possible.  Consider ER if can't reach either pretty soon..

I would be.: I don't like the sound of all that.  You may need an arterial doppler of the site of the angiogram.  There could be a complication of the procedure that would need to be elucidated.

i developed acute l arm ischemia hours after brachial artery catheter angiogram. had surgery to remove clot. on 2 blood thinners and aspirin. days later, having l calf pain/tightness feeling. no redness no swelling. could i get another blood clot?

Unlikely: Without a clotting disorder, and on thinners it would be unlikely to develop a new clot. You should discuss this with your treating doctor for further treatment options. Consider controlled graduated compression socks, over the knee

See a doctor: This could be a serious problem, such as a blood clot in your leg, skin infection, edema due to heart failure. You should see a doctor immediately, especially if it is only one leg.

i have sever leg pain with stiffness and swelling and redness?

Accepted Answer

Leg pain: You need to go to an er to see if your swelling, redness and stiffness are signs of cellulitis, or an infection of the leg. Good as soon as you can, as you may need to be placed on antibiotics if you do have a cellulitis and you need to find out its cause.

Growing pains: Likely due to "growing pains" although growth isn't really painful.  These leg pains are a throbbing dull pain often in the front of thighs , calves or behind the knees.  These pains tend to happen at night and can wake a child from sleep.  Pains can be relieved by massage and or a warm heating pad.

More consults???: Consult with a Vascular Surgeon, Functional Medicine specialist, Nutritionist. What is your BMI? What is your BP? How active are you.. do you sit long periods at a time. What is your diet like? Has lymphedema been ruled out. What are the results of your plasma proteins, plasma osmolality/osmolarity? There are many factors to consider.

Need more history: You need to give a more detailed history. Did you have trauma?  Is the site red?  See your doctor for a complete evaluation
