Other symptoms?: If there are other symptoms associated such as wheezing or a rash, please take an antihistamine. Wash skin with a gentle soap and avoid harsh chemicals. You may be experiencing a local irritation upon contact with a trigger. Keep a log of foods exposures four hours prior to the swelling. Consider a local antihistamine cream on the area affected. Please see your PCP,

: Interesting!  You may have a dry mouth which can cause blocked salivary ducts.  This causes swelling which comes and goes.  I strongly suggest you go and get checked properly.

See answer: Swelling of lips of the penis (aka meatitis) is usually due to an inflammation or irritation. This may be due to a contact chemical irritation (spermicidal, lubricants, fragrant soaps, laundry detergents, fabric softeners, etc); extension of a std-related urethritis (gc or chlamydia); or trauma (prolonged/excessive intercourse).

Probably truma: I would speculate tht you are somehow biting your lip at night or when you are unaware and that the swelling is from this trauma.  If you have fever and redness it could be a cellutitis and you would need treatment with an antibiotic.  The doctor who is treating you with your medications might be best able to assess this.  A dental condition could also be a cause.

Please talk to your : OB &amp; your pediatrician about your Post- Partum Depression, as it can negatively impact your baby's development. The pediatrician can coach you on interacting with your baby &amp; follow development closely.  Discuss therapy, antidepressants &amp; breastfeeding, mommy &amp; me classes, etc. There's no shame or blame in having PPD."Numb" lips can be from anxiety. Truly swollen lips can be from allergies.

Lip swelling: Often this problem is due to applying lip balm or other substances that come in contact with your face. Beeswax,which many lip balm products contain, is felt to be irritating to the lips. If you can't pinpoint the cause ,consult a dermatologist. In the meantime try applying cortisone type cream.
