how can i reduce swelling of face due to hair dye allergic reaction?

Topical steroid: Try otc Hydrocortisone cream.  However if the swelling is severe enough, your doctor may need to try you on a short course of oral cortisone as well. Avoidance will be the key in the future.

Chemicals can cause: chemical reaction on scalp which can lead to facial swelling.  I would suggest you have your hairstylist try a test spot on just one site of your scalp with the dye he/she is planning to use (in area above ear near hairline. if fine then do whole head

Allergy or Chem Burn: The chemicals in hair color can be rather harsh and many people can have an allergic reaction or get a chemical burn from them. The instructions should be followed closely. If it was just burning that might be chemical but itching could be allergy. Be very cautious the next time you use it and do a test as directed since an allergy could be very serious.

Burn: The easiest thing you can do is apply neosporin which will act as barrier to prevent infection and allow healing to occur while help soothing the ache. If you continue with pain definitely consult your primary doctor.
